Role summary

This will be our second sales development hire. This is an incredible opportunity for a motivated Sales Development Representative to work with a team of impressive, bright, focused, and motivated professionals in an environment that encourages creativity and entrepreneurial drive. You will be getting in on the ground floor and have an active hand in building and executing our go-to-market strategy. The successful candidate will develop and implement an outbound sales development strategy for the addressable market (small to medium sized factories) in the assigned territory.

We are looking for someone who is both strategic and tactical, and someone who is comfortable working with ambiguity. The ideal candidate is hungry, optimistic, has a “roll up the sleeves” mentality, and is ready to get creative in solving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative will execute and innovate on our lead generation processes, including prospecting, outbound marketing efforts, lead generation/qualification/follow-up. The most important skill necessary for this role will be finding potential customers and setting meetings to drive new business.

  • Call on end-users and search for the best point of contact to close sales
  • Work as a part of the team to identify target customers, key decision makers
  • Work as part of a team tasked with establishing meetings and building pipeline for the sales team
  • Exceed your individual target for qualified sales meetings and subsequent pipeline in bookings dollars
  • Utilize demand generation, marketing automation, sales processes and methodology to establish new prospects
  • Teamwork: collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop demand generation campaigns
  • Travel will be minimal

Qualifications:

  • Sales experience: at least one year of SDR or Inside Sales experience
  • Proven new account penetration
  • Motivated by achieving targets and growing your career in sales

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience or exposure to manufacturing environments
  • Tool familiarity: Hubspot, LinkedIn Navigator, Hoovers, Groove, etc.

Compensation:

  • Base salary + commissions, with multipliers for exceeding quotas
  • Meaningful equity in a fast growing and high-potential technology company
